A collection with pieces that aim to express themes of dualism. This idea is brought forth with using open and close visual elements as the interdependent elements. The visual dynamic of the contrasting segments establishes the Yin-Yang effect. This collection is inspired by the concept that one thing must exist in order for the other to exist. This concept can be thought of as complementary rather than opposing parts and thus a dynamic structure is created where the whole is greater than the assembled parts. Either part can manifest itself more than the other however, there will always be a portion of the other present much like the representation in the Taijitu symbol.
